i haven't watched an NBA game in years and I don't miss it one bit. I basically only watch college ball during tournament time and love it.
My take is there are too many "see me" players out there and more of a lack of respect for the game. The days of Bird, Magic, Dr J, etc are long gone. Spectacular players with load of highlight films but seem to be completely opposite of the stars of today. As good as they were, players used to be humbled by the game instead of acting like the game owed them something. I don't know, maybe it's just me getting old and crotchety |
