Default Mantle opinion

Hey after what seems like forever I found a Mantle ball to "mike or Michael". I hope I did OK, I was tipped off by someone here about it being for sale about a hour before leaving for a family mini vacation so I bought in haste but feel fairly combfortable with it being PSA authenticated...Please tell me I did OK. THANKS JeremyW for the tip!!!!

Very nice, Michael.

I've been trying to find a "To Chris" with a Mantle autograph forever.

I know the feeling, took me years to find this one. The picture is distorted by the frame but there are no problems in the piece.

I have seen a few "to mike" items over the years but I wanted a ball, ive seen a few that were either too faded or beat up so I always passed but this one is so nice I could not pass.

I still need a Dimaggio and an Aaron signed "to mike". This one only took 46 years....LOL. Found a Ruth a few weeks ago but was kind of beat up the damn thing still went for 2200.

Thank you Shelly!!!! It really means alot that you chimed in with opinion!!! You shot me down on a few I asked about and I have tried to do my homework on Mickey to become more "self sufficient"...lol. Like I said I had a very limited time before family trip to make a gut decision. Like I tell my kids "Daddy wont be there forever to look out for you and sometimes you have to take care of yourself". So I pulled the trigger, and I know people dog PSA and JSA for all the mistakes they may or may not make but at the end of the day if you cant get a simple Mantle ball signed "To Michael" then you really don't need to be in the autograph authenticating business. Thanks again Shelly!
