Default The Hall of Fame postcard plaque thread

I started collecting these in 2003 (I had gotten an Eddie Matthews one from Ebay some years before he passed away.) Believe a person shopping the HOF gift shop gave me the idea. Since then, I have gotten many in person and bought quite a few from fellow forum member Richard Simon. Just want people to share their collections and to talk about collecting them.

Here's mine:

I've been collecting these on and off since I started getting autographs in the late 1990s- I currently have close to 100. I've been doing some research about the set, and have created a site about them- It also has about 80% of my collection posted.

Here are mine:

I'd also love to buy/trade for your extras!

I recently purchased 22 of the metal ones, all signed, from a forum member. Does anyone else have any signed metal ones? (I'm trying to decide whether to collect more of them, or sell some). Thanks.

I never got into collecting them for whatever reason so I can't help you there. I'm sure there are others here who do though.

I've been collecting, selling, and trading them for about 15 years now. To me, it's the best way to collect hof autographs without having to put aside a ton of space for your collection. I have a full signed set of the yellow cards, and lots of duplicates that I used to sell or trade to pick up the black and white cards. I've now been selling off the b&w cards as we've been rebuilding after our lovely hurricane. I have probably 400-500 duplicates of the yellow cards, slabbed and unslabbed, including a lot of the hardest to find cards like Goslin, Foxx, (front or back signed) Traynor, etc. A lot of them are on ebay at book value, but they rarely sell. Lots of watchers and gawkers though. If you need exemplars of any of the cards, let me know and i'll post them for you, i'll put up some of the rarer ones now.

Brooklyn those are jaw dropping!

When you get the chance, could you post an exemplar of Sam Crawford please? Once I start buying again, he's one of the 19th century guys I want to get.

What's your eBay Name? I'd love to check out what you have for sale!

I currently have 62 of the 68 that I know to exist. I love these metallic plaques, but apparently I am in the minority because I never see the ones I still need listed for purchase. It is a hard set to complete. Of those that collect these, which ones do you have in your collection and do you know of any others besides the 68 that I see as available?

I don't really know anything about them. They are not with me and I don't have a list, but the list should still be in the B/S/T area - there were 22 of them, offered for sale around March 21. No one big except Ted Williams.
