Nice, David. Great cards. I've always liked that Exhibit of him. It's definitely my second favorite of all Exhibits after the 21 Ruth. It's probably top 5 or better for all mainstream PC's.

Johnny, are you going to get all of those pieces graded? I'm sure the kids are going to love that. Now just remember, don't get unhappy with them if they get their hands on one of your T206 Johnson's and put it in the choo choo and roll it around the tracks.

I'm hoping that one of the trains is a rare limited edition or scarce error that can be sent in for grading !! Would rather be trying to get those other 'Big Trains' wow ! My 2 year old son went from Elmo faze right into Thomas the train overnight a couple weeks ago. After picking up a couple train cars and tracks for around 60.00 this was a very welcome surprise, and when the package arrives and the kids yell 'more baseball cards' what a thrill it will be when they open it up !!

Take it from a Dad who knows..... The retail price on those Thomas trains you bought is probably more than almost any actual Walter Johnson card that is not graded a PSA 7 or better.

Johnny H: Just to say I feel bad for sidetracking your "Big Train" thread, o/t or no, with my Big Train post. I saw the picture of your kids in the other thread and I imagined how stoked those magic little ones are going to be with that train set. You are a very lucky man.

David, tough to sidetrack something like this, thanks for your kind words. Your cards are amazing, if you are interested in trading lots I think I can work something out with my kids !! Fred you are to funny as always, I am very happy it wasn't outed, and looking for partners on future 'Big Train' lots if interested. The price of cards doesn't seem so outrageous when compared to stuff like this. And for those who didn't know, yes, ebay sells stuff other than cards ! Choo choo !!!!!!!!!!!

Rhys, Thomas the Train tracks, trains, etc. are ridiculously expensive as you know. And once your kids are hooked on them it's like crack -- very tough habit to break.

David, that Ruth Exhibit is really an incredible card. Not common and perhaps the nicest Ruth image I've seen on a card.

Atleast they have rehab for crackheads but with this stuff until they grow out of it what can you do ? The marketing on kids stuff is incredible, no matter where you turn it is in their face. Coming soon on VH1 "Toddler Rehab"

The Thomas phase was pretty tough on us. Besides those damn trains, tracks, water towers, bridges, etc. you have to deal with those awfully boring DVDs. And of course the Broadway show which was hell on earth. Spongebob is a welcome change, I assure you.

I remember donating a van load of Thomas et Friends to our church's pre-school when my son declared himself too old for it.

We were fortunate to avoid the Thomas phase. Of course, there's enough discarded Dora the Explorer stuff in our house to fill an ark. I think we even have a set of four Christmas tree ornaments. At least I have to look at them only once a year.

My daughter's 8 now, so we hang those ornaments just for nostalgia's sake, but she still insists that Swiper go in the back of the tree, where he can't easily be seen.

I hear you. We also use, in lieu of a star for the top of the tree, a dollar-sign with the words Cash is King engraved on a golden arch. Been in the family for generations.
