Default Wire Photos...

I have a question for my baseball card brethren. I constantly see vintage wire photos of bb players on Ebay and was wondering, are these worth collecting? Also, does SGC or PSA slab them? They are pretty cool but I am collecting both for enjoyment and as an investment. Anyone have any experience with collecting, buying or selling these? Thanks in advance!

Hi Bill
I know you are fairly new to the board, but for the most part, we try to keep things mostly in order. This is a perfect question for the memorabilia side. I am going to move it over there.....thanks much. (there should be some folks that can help with this question)

Yes, people collect them and Beckett and PSA grade/holder them. A number of folks at this site collect them.

It's best to get some background before buying, as news services sometimes used old images. Ala a 1970 AP photo showing Joe DiMaggio in 1940. Usually the stamp on the back helps date.
