Default 1933 Sport Kings Cobb: Real or Fake?

I'm leaning towards fake considering they have an Eddie Plank card in the same auction tomorrow as well.

It looks suspect. The corners are all too evenly worn, and the border wear and discoloration is too evenly distributed. Seldom does a worn card experience the same wear and tear throughout. But, only an expert can tell for sure. Have someone take a look at it. Scans only tell a portion of the story. The reverse also has a story to tell. We can't see that.

Unfortunately I can't attend the auction tomorrow so I won't be able to handle the card.

Looks fake to me. I've rarely seen staining that evenly distributed around a border or corner wear that uniform.

Fake, boarders are too wide and as mentioned, the corner wear is too much and too consistant and the discoloration looks very odd. The backs of anything issued by Goudey are always a good way to figure out if they are legit or not.

My place is full of valuable, worthless junk.
