My grandmother could have hit those open receivers, the defense was non existant.

49ers (too much defense and just enough offense from the 49ers)
Patriots (would love to see Tebow pull this one out)
Ravens (I've never been to a playoff game, and if Tebow can work another miracle, the AFC Championship will be in my backyard. I'd love to go to that game!)
Packers (even though JPP has declared a win for the G-men)

You are a tough crowd. 316 passing yards with a 30 yd average isn't good enough?

Octavio- you already made your picks for this round, at post #47. At least you were consistent.

Isaac, please let me explain something, If you throw the ball deep enough times, the receiver can adjust to a ball thrown somewhere in their general direction. He cannot throw a 7 yard slant pass because there is not enough time to adjust to the 6 yards he missed by.

Think of it in baseball terms, an outfielder can run 150 feet to track down a fly ball, but a third baseman is fortunate to move 5 feet to his right to snag a liner.

You credit Tebow's success to the receivers being able to adjust to poorly thrown passes? Seriously? I mean seriously? To counter your statement, couldn't the Steelers safeties have adjusted just as well to defend the passes?

You said he couldn't throw and you were proven wrong. Rather than admit you were wrong, you try to turn the situation around and make excuses. Let me ask you this. What does Tebow need to do to prove to you that he can throw?

David, ever hear of David Clyde? He could throwand throw amazingly hard, but he could not pitch. To me it's just physics, ten feet off target at 21 feet compared to 15 feet off target at 90 feet leaves more time for the receiver to get to the ball. Pitt'e defensive backs also played a horrible game. Troy P gets to the wrong place faster than anyone else in football.

Can I get some extra points if I pick the Texans in OT????

If the Texans win in OT I'll give you a gold star...but no extra points.

Sorry you missed the first round, as you can always use the points.

Hey guys- this week's picks need to be in by 3:30 PM tomorrow (Saturday). There are still nine players from last week who haven't submitted yet. Hope everyone will be in again for this round. Thanks.

NO and SF was the toughest pick here for me. Though I fear the Pack may go down to the G-Men.

Not exactly the 1st quarter that I'd imagined. But all seems to be back on track now...Hopefully, it stays that way.

Barry, you chose wisely. At least you saw the finish - I was out enjoying the weather. Only thing better than watching a great finish is hanging out with your family on a nice day.
