Eleven copies have been graded so, in comparison to M101-4/5 HOF ad backs, not comparatively scarce. No famous player or HOF ad back is common, although some are much scarcer than others.

The Thorpe card is still more coveted than nearly all cards in the set. He is only available in m101-5, which means the other stars are more readily found (except for Bresnahan, Chance and Wallace). M101-5 is somewhat less available than m101-4, and has only 5 ad backs for Thorpe's card, just three of which I believe to be confirmed. F&B is clearly found more often than the others, but those searching for Thorpe with an ad back will take whatever they can find.

Also, of the 11 graded Famous and Barr Thorpes, that one was the lowest graded.

I am Thorpe fan, and it always amazes me what his M101-5 card sells for when his postcards from 1912 sell in the neighborhood of $1,000.
