Default Who is this with Mantle?

Who is in the A's uniform in this picture? I'm guessing this pic came from an old-timer's game? And would like any opinions on the Mantle sig as well; I think it's good, but certainly don't know as much as some of the others here....

Thanks!

I think we have a winner - someone emailed me that it is Lee Walls, who was a coach with the A's in the 70s and 80s. I can't find a pic of him as an A's coach, but from his cards from the 50s and 60s, it definitely looks like him.

Thanks!

Any thoughts on the signature itself? I liked it, but others know more than I do...

Sorry, a little late to the party but I'll also confirm that looks like Lee Walls who was an A's coach from 1979-82 under Billy Martin.

That does seem like a good fit, but let me throw out another possible. Eddie Mathews. He was a batting coach for Oakland for a short period of time and that is immediately who I thought it was seeing the face before I looked at other peoples guesses. I may be wrong, but I would be willing to bet money on it. Hope this helps, Jason

Thanks guys - I am confident that is Lee Walls. The definitive confirmation came from someone who covered the A's at the time, so between that and the similarities to his cards, I'm sure it's him.

Appreciate the feedback and to those who sent me messages that the Mantle sig is good - I was pretty sure it was, and didn't think a pic with an obscure coach was the typical medium for too many forgeries, but you never know!
