Default Does this Griffey auto look right?

Bought this on ebay and am able to return it. The story is it was signed at a game in 1989. I haven't seen many ballpoint sigs of Griffey on a card, but I have my doubts about this one the more I look at it.

What do you guys think? Thanks for your time!

i like it, it's hard signing with a ballpoint on card.

I have no opinion on the autograph but.....

Back in 1989, I set up at a show in Staten Island and the guests were Ken Griffey Jr and Stan Musial. I got a ball signed by Griffey. The next year, I set up at Bob Lee's Labor Day show and one of the dealers had boxes of Griffey balls and the sigs all looked different than the one I got in person...more loops instead of straight up and down.... and when I asked about it and he said "Yea, we did a signing last week with him and he changed his autograph".

It's like when Barry Bonds changed his autograph every once in a while when he played for the Pirates.

Good IMO, very early signature... take a look at the early examples on psadna's site, match up well. Like the other poster noted, his signature changed early his career... actually many times, but there are some tell tale signs and that match up.

Default ........

Got him about 5 or 6 times the summer of '88 when he was 18 years old and playing for the Vermont Mariners. He was even tough then! Took me 2 months to get those!

Looks good Luke.
