Is one of our resident YouTube gurus to post -- Elvis Costello (with or without the Attractions) performing (What's so funny about) Peace, Love and Understanding.

As I walk through
These different card shows
Searchin for PSA 8s in the darkness of slabheads.

I ask myself
Is all hope lost?
Is there only trimed, ironed, or altered?

And each time I feel like my PSA 8 is fake,
Theres one thing I wanna know:
Whats so funny bout Mastro, SCP, and Wagner? ohhhh
Whats so funny bout Mastro, SCP & Wagner?

And as I walked on
Past Mile High's table
My spirit gets so downhearted sometimes
So where are non-trimmed
And who are the trusted dealers?
And where is the backbone?
Sweet backbone.

cause each time I feel my PSA 8 is trimmed, just makes me wanna cry.
Whats so funny bout Mastro, SCP, and Wagner? ohhhh
Whats so funny bout Mastro, SCP, and Wagner?

So where are the strong cards?
And what dealrs are the trusted?
And where are the real cards?
Sweet real cards.

cause each time I feel like my Wagner is trimmed, just makes me wanna cry.
Whats so funny bout Mastro, SCP, and Wagner? ohhhh
Whats so funny bout Mastro, SCP, and Wagner? ohhhh
Whats so funny bout Mastro, SCP, and Wagner?

Go Go White Sox

Had to put it somewhere .....

I'm an alcoholic stuntman,
My liver's my air bag,
An ashtray's my helmet,
My cape is a bar rag.

I don't jump over canyons,
Or even duck ponds.
I just make it home to my own bed,
and wake up with my clothes on.

The board has been too quiet the last few hours. Anybody in the mood to start a good fight? This is boring.

In NY anyone? Lets all choose the place.....I think Bonds is on Steroids and there should be banner ads on the board. I only collect PSA 8 and above and that's where the hobby is headed..... (mix and match your argument)

I wanna see a banner ad for a New York City diner selling a PSA/DNA 8 slab with Bonds steroids in it. That should just about cover everything in shot

Thanks for that Kyle. Simpsons' fans consider that to be one of the all-time great episodes. I recall Mr. Burns earlier asking Smithers to dig up Cap Anson and Honus Wagner for the team. Smithers tells him they've been dead for a hundred years, to which Burns replies he remembers when he asked Smithers to dig up Charlie Chaplin, "and he didn't smell so good at that" (of course some may remember that Charlie Chaplin's body was once actually stolen from its burial plot).

Just checked my Simpsons bible and Burns also asked for "Three Finger" Mordecai Brown, but no reference to Charlie Chaplin. Maybe I'm confusing episodes. Oh well.

Haha, that's a great episode.
Mr. Burns: I wonder if this Mordacai Brown is related to Homer Simpson?
Smithers: Probably not sir. They spell and pronounce their names completely different.

I love that show.

Josh- the logistics of that episode were difficult. Each time a National League team flew in to play the Dodgers, or an American League team came in to play the Angels, the players came to the studio to record their lines. So it is likely there was never more than one player there at any time. It's an extremely well written episode, from when the show was still a classic. Today, it's a shell of its former self.

Brian,

I tried to paint a pretty picture of the Cliff House...but the problem is it's cloudy outside and we have rain off and on in SF today.

Hi Peter,
It's raining here too, but there's no need to paint a picture of the Cliff House, because it's imprinted in my head. Hopefully the sun will shine tomorrow, and all will be back to normal. Be well Brian

I can taste the fresh Calamari and crab cakes now..

Guys,

Sunday afternoon, here's your second chance to kickback. Can you smell the steaks, chicken and smoked salmon on the grill in the backyard. Let's party...
