Rube Waddell death pamphlet

I purchased this from a Lelands auction about 15 years ago. Not exactly sure what it is - it's an 8 page pamphlet that details Rube's exploits, especially his many acts of compassion for others (Rube is credited with saving the lives of several people.)

Any idea on its age, and estimate on value?

I wonder if the Charles C. Carr Co. of Indianapolis was founded by the former ballplayer, Charlie Carr? The ballplayer's full name was Charles Carbitt Carr, and he played in Indianapolis in the minor leagues from 1906-1910 and in the Federal League in 1914. He is also buried in Indianapolis. Carr died in 1932, so that could give some idea of the date of the pamphlet of the company is indeed related to the ballplayer.

Interesting. Carr played against Waddell in 1912 in the American Association, so he must've known him a little, or at least known of him.

You can be absolutely sure of it.
Rube Waddell was one of the biggest attendance draws of his era & was extremely well known by both players and fans. I just completed an excellent book on Waddell and his popularity during this era was made abundantly clear, FWIW.

Thanks for your feedback. I listed it in the Live Auctions section of this website, along with a Sporting Life magazine with Waddell cover, and some Waddell pics I had mounted to foam core for my den, several years back.

It'll be fun to see what happens... Ends Sunday night.
