My question is, How many In-the-Park Home Runs have been hit in the World Series? I have an original photo of Casey Stengel stealing home in Game 1 of the 1923 World Series, and am wondering if he is the only one, or are there others.
Thanks in advance

Did he steal it as a souvenir from his inside-the-park homerun? Why didn't they just give it to him? Are you about to offer it for auction?

Thanks much for the help. It'll be in my next sale. Interestingly, the photo belonged to a famous member of the team. Best wishes

Scott, while I may have mispoke, I beleive in the old days 'stealing home' was applied to crossing the plate during an in the park home run or variety of similar 'crossing the plate in the heat of battle' situations. It obviously has a more specific terminology today.
