Default Duke Slater wins poll

http://www.talkoffamenetwork.com/29134-2/

I voted for Lavie Dilweg, but happy to see Slater win since I consider him a worthy HOFer and because he was my second choice - even if he didn't win for the right reasons - I think the early days of pro football are under represented in the HOF and it makes more sense to me for those players to be considered before "old timers" from the 80s.

What an amazing life and career! Also, I wasn't previously familiar with that site. It is bookmarked now. Thanks for sharing.

You're welcome. I'm actually currently reading Slater's bio and I know Jeff has already read it. Here's a link: https://www.amazon.com/Duke-Slater-P...40_&dpSrc=srch

I think Lavie Dilweg may have a matchbook. Do any collectables exist of Slater?

Yes, very good book on Slater!

I don't believe Slater has any cards from his playing days but I've seen a few team photos with him in them and I'm sure there are some cabinet photos out there of him but I don't have any.

Dilweg has a few items. My favorite is his Packers Walker's Cleaners premium.
