Here we go again. What the Puck!!!!

A hockey card Progressive Auction is offered. Current highest bid is $30. Number of cards is now 300. Current shipping is now $5

What's that you ask? Well I am starting out with Doug and nine other cards. There are plenty more good cards available. There will be stars in the "other" cards.

A $1 opening bid is required. Increments of at least one dollar are required, but higher raises are suggested. Because the auction is progressive, you may place consecutive bids.

When you bid name another player (not too old and not too new (1975-2000)). If I have that player I will post that scan and add nine more other cards. If I do not have that player, I will add a scan and the pot will be increased by a whopping twenty cards. Wow!

All scans of the players named in your bids will be posted with Doug in this post. The other nine cards with each bid will include stars and possibly graded cards are well. You never know.

Shipping will be $2 until we reach 50 cards and then increase by $1 for each additional fifty cards. Maximum shipping will be $6, unless you live in Canada. My intent here is to share in the shipping costs with the winner. Due to the enthusiastic response so far, I do reserve the right to raise the maximum shipping charge if we get into a medium flat rate box and it looks like that could happen. Likewise Canadian bidders will be asked to pay proportionally more shipping than US based on a percentage of actual shipping charges.

To be clear, each bid will add 10 cards to the pot, one of which you can pick. The more you bid the more I add. Lets run this auction until Monday evening at 9PM CDT. I can't think of one good reason not to take a slapshot (bid) at this auction to see who pops up below. Can you?

Post #7 in this thread suffers from era-shift as all four Blackhawks played the bulk of their careers before 1975, so some substitutions (all Blackhawks) were necessary. Dennis Hull survived the cut. Chelios is added for Magnuson. Larmer is added for B. Hull. Mosienko is added for Mikita. Should Kevin win all Blues will be removed from his winnings. I will add 20 cards for each card not included this time only, so 70 cards have been added, but going forward I will not add 20 for era-shift violations. My Orr Sc(Orr)e card has already been sold here so I am replacing Orr with B(Orr)que, same team, same position, almost as good.
