Which card(s) is considered his true "RC". I don't see much mention of the R312. Can someone give me some info on this set? |

Peter is correct on all three. DiMaggio's first appearance on any baseball card was his Zeenut, but since he played in the PCL it is not considered his major league rookie. |

Thanks for the replies. Can someone further explain about the card stock of the R312? I absolutely love the look of the card, but have never seen one in person. There is a PSA 4 on ebay right now that I am interested in, but knowing nothing on pricing of this set I am having a tough time. |

The R313 is the true RC, as this photo shows the Dag at St Pete wearing jersey #18 and prior to receiving his official rookie number(9). Mostly, I believe this to be the true rc, because I own it (: |

He is also in the 1936 World Wide Gum set (#51). The set was only distributed in Canada so many may not consider it to qualify for rookie card status (whatever that is). I would certainly rather have it than any of the 1936 Goudey issues but I am probably in the minority. |

Bobby, I didn't know Al was into non-sports. j/k Al, Hey, I even have one of the original BigHeads from 1916-20. A beater of course. |

I'm with jdrum and would take the world wide if given first choice....in the end after realizing the money would never be there for that issue, I happily picked this one up as my type. |
