Default Finally found something at a garage sale

Never seem to find anything at estate or garage sales. Got lucky today, though. Pretty nice pickup at twenty bucks.

That's crazy. Who in the hell has a graded card at a garage sale? Was that the only one?

I know, right? My wife and I went to a neighborhood garage sale (probably 75 houses in all), and one guy had a small group of graded cards on a table. There were some recent baseball (Griffey, etc.), a '68 Jesus Alou (?) and various football ('73 Staubach, etc.) -- all graded -- but nothing I was interested in. I asked if there were any more, and the guy said he had a few in a bag. Among them were some Henderson rookies and the Maris. I asked how much for Roger, expecting an unreasonable number. He said twenty bucks, reminding me that it costs ten just to have a card graded...

Here I was, hoping to find a shoebox full of some beaters, and a guy has a fairly nice graded card on my want list. Weird.

Just goes to show, you never know if you don't go. Great catch.
