Default OT. Shop at Home COA's Any info?

Posted By: Jim F

Hi, I know this is off topic but I don't know who else to ask. I have a chance to buy a baseball that is accompanied by a Shop at Home COA. It has 12 auto's of 500 home run guys including Mantle, Mays, Williams and Aaron. Does anyone know if these balls were indeed offered by Shop at Home, and if any known problems exist with these COA's or the vendor's of these balls? Any help would be appreciated as I only have about an hour to get back to the antique show where I found it. Jim

Shop at Home has never carried a very good reputation in regards to sportscards and collectibles. I can't say whether it's real or not, but I would be very skeptical.....especially if the prices seems a little too nice.

Shop at home has been known to buy from third-party folks who purchased quantities of left over Score Board stock etc... While Score Board may be somewhat reputable, their COAs are easily copied or forged. I'm willing to bet the same is true of Shop at Home. I tend to avoid folks that have more Gem Mint 10s than they know what to do with (all graded by Smitty's gard grading service).

I'd be very afraid of anything autgraphed doming from any of the home shopping channels. I thought it was Scoreboard that got busted for for selling fake sigs with LOAs. Either way, I'd be very afraid of any sig that was not authenticated by Guitierez, Spence or some other top flight autograph authenticator.

I like to sit outside drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home I would be arrested, so I go to baseball games and fit right in.
