Default Babe Ruth Opinions

The seller is not sure how much he wants. He threw out a number $3500. Assuming it is real (is it?), how much should I pay for this or how much is it worth? Thank you for your time.

No idea if it's real, but if it is then I think that's a very good price. Not everyone likes personalized items, but I think they add a lot of character to a piece.

I am not familar enough with Ruth to comment on this item, but with Ruth, the more writing the better in my opinion. I would gladly have a personalized item I could be certain was authentic.

Not an expert on authenticity but I will say that the signature at least looks old and not a recent application.

The reason Jim hesitated any at all is that he does not have the item in hand to examine. That is my take on it anyways.

I thought it was because the check hadn't yet passed.

There's the old story about Salvador Dali. At a dinner party, a man showed him his Dali print and asked it it was genuine. With the people watching, Dali proclaimed it a fake. Later in the evening, Dali pulled aside the man and said he had made the print but had yet to be paid. Once he was paid, then it would be authentic.

Thats correct. It was a FREE opinion based on the scan. Perhaps it would have carried more "clout" at $100.00 a whack but it would still have been the same opinion
