Default Fort Worth Cats and Rogers Hornsby

I'm primarily a ticket collector but have enjoyed watching and reading about all of the other topics on here for several years now. Amazing knowledge on this board so I was hoping for any input or thoughts from others on a few items. Would appreciate any additional info, corrections to my research below, and any thoughts on value.

As a ticket collector, I often pursue lots at auction that include other items that aren't in my collecting focus. A year or so ago I ended up with a group of programs from the 70s and tucked away neatly inside one of them were two letters and a season pass from the Fort Worth Cats. Hopefully I've attached the pictures correctly and they're high enough res to be useful.

Interestingly, they were folded up neatly inside some random western poster for protection. So they're well-preserved, just wrinkled. One letter is from 1926 and the other is from 1942 and from Rogers Hornsby to the widow of the former owner of the team, Paul LaGrave. I've done just some basic research and found some significance but there are surely all sorts of interesting ties to history here. It doesn't appear to me that the Hornsby autos are original.

The 1942 season was his only season as manager of the team, but from what I could gather, he actually played in one game and had one hit in four at-bats, a game-winning 9th-inning 2-RBI hit (see attached article from 5/4/42 Baltimore Sun). So one could argue that the pass was good for his final season of professional baseball play, final game, final at-bat, final hit, and final RBI, albeit at the minor league level (from what I could find he never actually hit the field for Vera Cruz in 1944). 1942 was, of course, also the year he was inducted into the HOF.

I'm no expert on any of this and may have some of the historical stuff wrong but I'll open it up to the experts on the board. Anything of interest and/or value here?

Thanks.
