Default Sgc graded 53 bowman mantle

I got a 1953 Bowman Mantle for Christmas. The card fits the grade. But as you can see in the pictures (I hope looks like the plastic melted funny when they sealed it. There doesn't seem seem to be any roughness at the spot or any unusual frosting. Has anyone ever seen this?

Thanks,
Mike

I'm certainly no expert on the slab sealing process, but I don't see much from the pics that would alarm me, since the card itself looks fine, especially for the grade. I'm sure you don't want to, but if you don't like the slab, take a hacksaw to it and liberate the card.

Looks fine to me, I've seen similar things on other SGC slabs from my own subs.

While I also haven't seen that exact type of flaw on the edge, I have seen something similar and everything was legit. You could always send it in for a reholder/inspection or have SGC look at it for free at a show, but I also think you're OK.

Oh, and nice card!
