Do you think every card in your collection has a chance at a bump? This now makes 2 Jackies where you've asked that question, and neither one had a chance.

Picked this one up earlier this week. I've always like Topps' World Series subsets. Game 3 from the Dodgers' first LA Series win. Nicely centered.

Bob, I agree with you on the Topps W.S. subsets. Nice looking card. Congrats.

But for every rule, there's an exception. What in heck was Topps thinking when they put together the 1961 World Series winner card??

s-l1600-22.jpg

They had Mantle, Maris, Ford and Berra celebrating in the same locker room, but they went with a shot of (correct me if I'm wrong) John Blanchard, Bud Daley and Héctor López???

A few PWCC winnings this week. Really happy with the Nagashima rookies. I ended up paying for the group in two lot by mistake, and even though PWCC was not able to catch it and ship them all together, he sent me a small refund, to match what combined shipping cost would have been for all. Small gesture monetarily, but was very nice customer service, especially given how many lots they manage. (IMO all ended at pretty reasonable, non inflated price levels)

Default Salada Coin Carton

Hi All

I managed to pick up the below Salada Coin Shipping carton that actually shows the coin promotion on the carton!

It will go with my other oddball Salada items a few of which are shown as well.

Wow, awesome Salada stuff. It looks like that box ended up in the right home. It's great to see it all together. Congratulations!

Nothing crazy but always nice to know you don't have to upgrade. I've been slowly putting Mets team sets together, I hope it doesn't lead to expanding into other subsets

Upgraded my #123 Koufax. I know that by having the grade on the same line plus the serial number indicate that it is an earlier submission - therefore negating my chances of an upgrade to 10.5. Just kidding, just kidding...

My real question is on the font. I have several graded cards that have the grade on the same line but none with that type of font. There is nothing wrong with the case. The card seems to justify the grade, but it was a low feedback seller (48 but 100% - very quick to send shipping information - just seemed like a collector.).

Has anyone seen this? Was this a very early iteration?

Added another 1971 Dell Stamp today. Decided to add some non-Topps items to my Hank Aaron and Reggie Jackson collections.

Picked up these two in separate auctions this week. Has happy to get the Banks but really excited to acquire the Paige. It has been one of the top cards on my 'attainable for me' want list.

Fred---

Freaking awesome Salada boxes and advertising! Thank you for sharing with us, our resident Salada expert. As I wrote on here before, I do so wish I could have interviewed you for my book's chapter on the 1962 Salada baseball. Photographs of your boxes and ads would have been perfect. Your thirst is endless for Salada! Good for you, and congratulations on the recent pick-up. I sincerely mean that. ---Brian Powell

Just bought this one a few minutes ago. I can't wait to get it. I paid a bit more than I wanted to, but the centering is really nice and eBay was offering 8% back in eBay Bucks (a little over $15) today.

Nice card. That's been on my list forever and a day too, but it's generally just too expensive (even in lower grade). I've been tempted to pickup a 1940's Exhibit Paige for what would be a much more reasonable price. But that '53 is a pretty card.

Really fun to see all these great cards. Had been offline a few weeks with some medical issues but still hoping to reel something in before month's end.

Was a crazy month. Docs thought I had pneumonia, which was unpleasant enough. But when I woke up ten days later barely able to breathe, I found out I had a massive bilateral pulmonary embolism. Still here so can't complain, but full recovery will be slow.

Jason, glad to see you back posting. Good luck with the recovery. Had to be pretty crazy/scary going through what you did. Nothing like a little cardboard to help with the recovery.

Not sure why I thought I needed this but I'm glad I did. I don't particularly collect Yankees or Ruth but I can't resist oddball pieces.

Glad to be back on the scoreboard. Another for my Top 100 display. Let me know if you can tell from the scan why the grade is so low. My eyes aren't great, but I thought the card looked pretty good.

Jason, glad to see you back. Recovery can be a slow, arduous task. Take it one day at a time, and know we're all pulling for you.

Some beautiful cards as always, guys.
