Thought I'd bump this thread with a recent pick-up. I collect central Washington sports memorabilia, mostly high school and college. There is not a lot of pre War material, but managed to pick-up this November 13, 1926 Ellensburg HS v. Yakima HS Program, vintage Yakima pinback, and football ad.

This game was at the original Washington State Normal Field (CWU). Yakima was led by Stanley Shaw (son of baseball player Royal 'Hunky' Shaw), he later played for Washington State University in the 1931 Rose Bowl. The hometown, Ellensburg Bulldogs, lost 13-7.

That's a nice group of items. I have this Washington related item which I bought because 1) Gus Dorias is the Gonzaga coach and 2) two of the Gonzaga players were later teammates of my father in the NFL - Ray Flaherty and Hust Stockton.

Great 1923 program! Awesome family connection. Another Stockton at Gonzaga, hmmm.... I wouldn't be surprised if that family founded the University
