is it okay to start a Sloate Auction pickup thread? (if not / please delete).

I don't have it in my hands yet....

but many of you know I have been looking for a Matty Horizontal for a long time now!

Thanks Sloate Auction!

Sure...no harm here....I was bridesmaid again in the auction......I bid on many lots and came out empty handed.. I think Barry got some really good prices for the cards.....The market for nice stuff remains very strong, imo...

I guess I have to add "Joe D" to my enemies list for outbidding me on that Mathewson. You can add me to your enemies list for raising the price on you.

no worries about making it more expensive...

if it is any consolation to you - I am no longer in the market for this card - so now you have less competition the next time it comes up.

A really great boost for my SOVEREIGN-only T206 set....as I won the two large T206 lots....
totalling 346 different cards, of which 262 have Sovereign backs.

Including Cobb (green), both Johnson's, Speaker, and 35 more HOFers.

I believe in the "law of large #s"....and "UNGRADED" cards are still the hobby's best buys.

And, BARRY...."you're the greatest".....to quote Jackie Gleason.

Glad to get a T206 Cobb bat off [Tolstoi] and a T206 Young portrait. Thanks Barry!

Did someone here pickup the Hecker N172? Please let me know if this is an upgrade and you have one to sell. Who ever picked that up has a very nice Hecker card.

49 cards - 42 T205 (Including Dolly Grey with stats), 3 T201 and 3 202.

Will be my first 202's and the T201's might be the next set I'm working on!

Little more than i wanted to spend, but I think I got a good deal and a big chunk of some nice cards for my set! I'll have upgrades for sale eventually (actually considering grading some of these!)

Thanks Barry for being so helpful in my First Auction of this type!

Thank you Russ, and the lot actually has 4 T202. You just got one card richer.
