Default Now that the Henry Yee "Witch Hunt" has been squashed. Show your auction winnings.

I've been longing for a nice 1961 Mantle & Maris TYPE 1 photo and I finally hit paydirt!

Yes, I'd say that if your main collecting goal was to add a 1961 Type 1
Maris/Mantle photo, you knocked it out of the friggin' park!

WOW! AWESOME JIMMY! If I didn't have the one below, I have a feeling one of us would have cost the other A LOT of money and been accused a "SHILLER".

I got this photo for a steal. I love the American League Service Bureau photos and they sell well. Marginal Hall of Famers sell for what I had to pay to win this "Babe".

Not a photo, but a nicely executed figural depiction of the Babe. And obtained from Henry at a relatively low price

Thise are some GREAT Ruths and Mantle/Maris!

I went O-fer on the older stuff, and in hindsight I should have bid higher on a few.

However, I did manage to add this shot of Cal's 2nd career grand slam to my Ripken collection for less than half my max bid.

Default Speaking of.....

Speaking of Mel Allen....this is a really neat ink blotter, circa 1948, I am very happy to have won. And I won it at less than 1/3 of my snipe bid. I really liked it.....

Well look at you Leon... you've found a new niche to collect! What a hobby!

This is the second and last piece I won in Henry's auction. Speaking of niche collecting, I'm all into sequential & composite photographs and guess what? Most Sequential and Composite photos are NOT TYPE 1 photos, and I don't even care!

I'll save that for another thread.

Great pick-ups, everyone!

Jimmy, as soon as I saw that shot on the auction, I knew you'd end up with it in the end. Bravo!

Rhys, that Ruth shot is AWESOME. And really, you got one hell of a good price on it.

Tim, I LOVE that Ripken shot. Having the follow-through with the number and name on the back makes it.
