Default did I miss something on this auction- T222

Posted By: leon

This isn't my auction but is a board members and it's over. Before it was over I told the seller that the reason it got a 10 is because part of it is missing. I said I was sort of surprised it even got a numerical grade. His response was only this, to quote...

"sorry about the scan but the bottom of the card is there. get your eyes checked"

Did I miss something or is all of this card really there? I am not putting the card down but are my eyes deceiving me? regards

Is green grass green? Yes, part of the Wildfire card is missing. Perhaps the seller's comments were intended for the other card.

Card on left is missing lower left corner? Unless I need to get in line behind you for the ol' eye appointment!! lol

Gotta be a trick question - seems too obvious.

"get your eyes checked, old man." He was actually being unusually polite.

The glass is half empty, the glass is half full...

The corner is only partially missing, the corner is missing...

The card is AUTH, the card is SGC10...

Edited to add an edit because it seems to be what the prior posters have done...

I just wanted this additiont to the thread to be consistent with everyone elses...

You are taking his statement too literally.
You see? The bottom of the card is there. So is the top and sides.
Maybe not all there. Or maybe it is all there. Did you check under the slab for the missing piece?

Bill,

Can you please show us the scan of the whole card. Can't you see you missed the bottom left corner of the card. I usually try to scan the whole card with all four corners showing...

Edited to add - technically, this card has 5 corners!!!

It looks fine to me. I really don't pay attention to lower left corners anyway.
One to go.

What lower left corner?....you condition freak.... still a nice card but not too nice of a response from the seller... He said he didn't know why it got a 10, in the auction description, and all I did was tell him....For the record I do believe the flaw I mentioned is why it got it...and had that not been there (or had been there as it was) then the card would indeed grade much higher. (complete cards tend to do that)....later

Here we go another grading company bashing thread! At least this time i agree with the angry mob.....when are they going to learn to grade what you send them, not what you didnt send them! If you send them 90% of a card then thats what they should grade. Theyre assuming the missing piece isnt nrmt is what they are doing!

Whoever won this card at least has a good start at a partial set of t222's,or is that a set of partial t222's?
