Default So I actually took out a loan for an autograph

I figured I would probably never see this autograph for sale again and Jim S. (words cannot express how great he is to this hobby) worked with me. Took out a small 12 month loan to obtain.

Thank you again Jim!

Wayne-Funny, that is what I say every time I look at your collection.

Scott-Wilkinson founded the Kansas City Monarchs and first introduced night baseball, among other things, and was elected to the HOF in 2006. While he is far from the most popular individuals in the HOF, there are less than 10 known signatures that exist. I am hoping it stays that way for obvious reasons.

Thanks for the info Dave. He lived a good long life, maybe he just wasn't known enough to sign, accounting for the rarity?

I'm surprised by the rarity given that he was the owner of the Monarchs for many years...I would think signed contracts or business papers would be out there.

Part of the reason I joined here, to learn. Very interesting that there aren't more signatures considering his stature in the business. I imagine verbal contracts with a handshake (?).

Jim wanted $9,500 originally, but I negotiated down to $436 (that, or I rather not say).
