Default McManus Auctions - New CC dumping Ground?

Well, I don't really dabble in this stuff, but it found it's way into my inbox. Complete with a fun story on the origin of the collection from an old man who ran a Taxi Cab company across from Briggs Stadium in Detroit.

Snow white Babe Ruth baseballs and Mr. Morales's name all over everything.

YaY!

Probably related to Ultimate Auctioneers, who claim to be "the largest auction company in Southern Nevada" who had a similar auction in October. Probably more of the same stuff.

Wow!! What a bragging point in that slogan. "largest in Southern Nevada", that is like saying the best suspended third baseman on the New York Yankees.

And imported from Florida, Lot #1, originally offered by the gang that could not afford 8x10's,, a color 4X6 of Ted Williams,,,, wow,, 4x6 a sure sign of a Florida piece of crap. And DiMaggio and Mantle in 4x6 also,,, footprints leading straight to the Sunshine State.

This is disappointing. I communicated with them last year and they pulled the fakes, thanked me, and indicated they would only go with "reputable authenticators". (The items in question were an unsolicited box of junk from FL). I have participated in some of their auctions and have monitored others and they haven't gone to the dark side in a long time.
Has anyone contacted them? Maybe they are falling for the provenance as they aren't auto experts?

edited to add: I posted before reading Chris' link. Now I am utterly disgusted. AND I went back to my previous contact and realized it was just lip service.

How many Darth Vader's are out there?
Way too many,,,, and the Florida junk has just added to that number.
Justice can be slow but it is worth waiting for.

Damn, there are so many Ruth forgeries in that auction. I also saw multiple Joe Jacksons, two Josh Gibsons, two Rube Waddell baseballs, Ed Plank, Oscar Charleston, the list of Christopher Morales certed crap goes on and on.

It's probably too much to hope that no one bids on that crap.

Wow...I wasted my time writing an email to inform them the autographs were bad before clicking the link to the thread that Chris posted. No way is this guy going to pull these autos, he doesn't normally deal with sports memorabilia as far as I can tell so this will probably be his one and only and he doesn't care that he knows he'll be ripping off his customers.

Maybe three tsetse fly generations.

Obviously a ton of Florida fakes, which are all printed on high res inkjet printers. Certainly not available three (human) generations ago.

Looking at the completed prices is funny. A jackie robinson sig for like $50. sad these will end up flipped and the game of duck duck goose will start until someone is "it" and gets stuck holding the bag.

It is a sign that the hobby has sunk as low as it can.

Yeah that is a big problem. Then we are all out there trying to figure out what's authentic and what's not. Thank goodness for sellers like Jim Stinson!!
