Default My Card Room

I have shown this off on some other forums, but thought some folks here might enjoy it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KtrBQKKCik

I wanted to post an updated video of my card room. The biggest addition I have made is the Berg Display Case that my dad and I completely refurbished.

I would love to hear what everyone thinks in addition to any suggestions for any parts of my collection you would like to see future videos highlight.

I think you did a really good job of showing off some stuff without overdoing it which is easy to do in a smaller room. I love the addition of hard wood to the cases you have instead of crappy paneling usually seen. I usually use maple in the cases I make. If you look at my aviator or in my profile you can see what I did for my HOFer collection.
Very well done. Thanks for sharing.

Very nicely arranged!
Really like the glass display case. Great way to show off your cards. Where did you get it?

Well done, mate. The room really seems to allow you to enjoy your collecting nicely. You poured a lot of time and love into refurbishing that case. Looks perfect. The fact you did it with your father's help is so special. Thanks again for sharing. ---Brian Powell

I got it at a thrift store that was closing its doors. It was in pretty rough shape, but we got new glass, made new wood panels, refurbed the motor. Now it looks awesome.

Here is a video that I did just on the display case.

Thanks for all of the other compliments. Glad you liked it.

Now that is the way to enjoy a collection! Very nice. Some highlights from the tour were the Cap/Falcon comic book, the 500 HR litho (love those!), the framed Perez-Steele GMs, and especially the refurbished display case (the best part being the time you spent with your Dad working on it)

The comics are all from the month and year I was born (October 1973).

I highly suggest all collectors finding one of those cases. They work great.

Wow! Really incredible to see all those HOF autographs side by side. Am hoping Hamilton recovers and returns to form. He seems like a good person, and I feel for him in his life struggles.

Thanks man! What a great video!

Just curious, how old is your son and how interested is he in the cards and autos you collect? My boy is almost 4. Would say his interest is moderate at best. Gunna take him to his first baseball game next month...

He is 15 and definitely has a collector's mentality, but that hasn't translated to cards. Right now it is guns, comic books, LPs (yes, he loves vinyl) and video games.

If he ever gets interested then great. If not then that is fine too.

Cool video and room... There was a card shop when I was a teenager that had that kind of glass display case, we would spin it for a half hour straight looking at the cards... Good times thanks for sharing.
