I agree....I do think there was a demand for Venies at the National last week.

Just as a side note and not to make this a buy/sell, but I do have some dupe 1960 Venies if anyone would like a list....my email is brett8@cox.net

Thanks Don, I would love to buy from you, but I only collect 1964 and 68 at this time.

So happy to add this upgrade to my set. I'm down to needing the 3rd Checklist #192 to complete my 1962 set. I have lots to trade or can buy out right if anyone has an extra.

Willing to ideally trade for a needed/upgraded Mays item or, potentially sell out right.

Default 64's

Bought two of the last three cards I needed off eBay to kill the 64 set. A buddy bought the third at the national but haven't received it yet. Need a rose and yaz to kill the 66 set and four cards to kill the 62 set. Rick

Exactly a month since my last update. Excited about the clean backs on both of these. Love the Harper; he's a favorite of mine and I dig the big trophy.

BOOM!!

As a Yaz collector and Venezuelan collector, this card couldn't possibly be a bigger deal for me. I'm completely ecstatic! Ecstatic enough that I'm going to double post it!

The 2nd of two Venezuelan cards I sent out for signature (the first being Aaron Pointer 67) returned this past week. Jimmie Hall 1964 Topps & Venezuelan versions. Mr. Hall used to be quite the difficult signature, but seems he has resurfaced in recent years, including a Chris Potter signing and free TTM replies.

Jim, I have a Elio Chacon for you. I submitted it to PSA for grading at the bulk rate. So it will take 2-3 weeks. But I'll hold it for you if you'd like.

Great cards, guys.

Well, I almost gave up on the 1967 MLB set this summer and came real close to selling, but I changed my mind and stuck with it and with the addition of these four pictured below, I have now reached the century mark. 50 cards to go to completion.

I recently bought a lot of six 1968 Venz Phillies. These are the 3 I'm keeping:

Very excited about the Allen. The White is a dupe, but it's an upgrade over my current PSA Auth. None of the 3 have any paper loss or glue residue on back.

Yup. I know it's kind of a tough card, but because of the condition I didn't figure it would end up that close to my max. Guess I was wrong. $69.00 for a final price. With prices like that, it's looks like it's going to be a long haul to close out the 50 I'll need to complete the set.

There are 4 Mets in the 1967 set, Ken Boyer is easily found, the other 3 (Ed Kranepool, Tommy Davis and Swoboda) are real tough. The search continues.

I've missed out on snagging Kranepool at least 2 or 3 times on Ebay. Since I started the set several years ago, I don't recall ever seeing the Tommy Davis come up on Ebay.

Believe it or not, a Davis sold about 6 months ago fora BIN of $10, I just missed it and it was the only one Ive seen in 5 years on ebay.

I bought my Kranepool for $40 from the same seller as the Swoboda,

If any of you Vene collectors pick up or have any Brooksie's available in PSA4 or above please let me know. I'm looking to upgrade if I have an opportunity.

Really enjoy this thread by the way!

Why are all the Venezuelan cards in such bad shape ? Don't they have storage boxes or plastic sheets in South America ? Just wondering, does anybody know ?

They were printed on inferior cardboard and collectors loved to tape or glue them into albums making them very difficult to find in nicer condition.
