Default Vintage cards with " odd" player postions

Found it interesting. Some vintage cards with - not often seen position "designations "..... how about a - catcher/ shortstop..or coach/ 2nd baseman ?

The Mel Queen sprung to mind as soon as I saw the title, that's my favorite one. This one is a classic card:

The 1965 Topps Set has many dual position cards.

Here are just a few.

That one will probably be the 'last' one for quite some time to come too.

Default odd postion cards

Strange...Why Topps decided not to note F Robby as mgr..in addition to DH ?

they mention it on back of card..so they knew of it ???

In this case because the Indians Team Card listed and had an inset photo of him as a MGR so my best guess is they did not want to double up the MGR nomenclature.

Same thing with Don Kessinger in 1979. They are both pictured as Manager on the team cards so maybe Topps thought that was sufficient.

Not vintage, but it would hard to top a modern day Ohtani card and the "P/DH" designation. It still feels like an oxymoron to me...

What else could they have labeled a guy who in 2 seasons appeared in 105 games, scored 33 runs and stole 31 bases without ever recording a single at bat

Not vintage, but I love the DH position and photo selection of Ortiz fielding.
