Goodwin & Co. is having a really great auction. I always appreciate our advertisers and try to help as much as I can. Here is a link to a nice Beckett Article on the auction-

http://www.beckett.com/news/2015/05/...auction-opens/

and a note from Bill (taken from the Goodwin & Co. website)

"Dear Collector:

I would like to welcome you to Masterpieces & Uncommon Commons LX. Perhaps, the most fun you can have in this hobby is finding rare, never seen before, one of a kind cards and memorabilia. You will find no fewer than 8 of these rare items in this catalog. Several items from the New Jersey company, Xograph, which printed the legendary Topps test issue, the 1968 Topps 3-D set, are included. Only a few thousand of these cards were printed and test marketed in Brooklyn. The exorbitant cost was the apparent factor when Topps decided to scrap this project. Some of the Xograph factory items are a 1968 3-D uncut sheet of 12 cards including Clemente and 2 unissued cards. Conceivably, the hobby's rarest football card, the 1968 3-D Bart Starr, which is the only known copy and has Xograph printed on the reverse side is also part of this historic find.

Another hobby "lone example" is the Holsum Bread Babe Ruth card presented in Lot #1. This is the only known example on the planet! The rookie cards of some of baseball's greatest players are also offered such as Joe Jackson, Willie Mays, Rogers Hornsby, Hank Aaron and Ed Mathews. A master set of E98 American Caramel cards showcased as individual lots and, in most cases, all 4 different color backgrounds are presented. The T206 enthusiast will discover printer's scraps, miscuts, blank backs, elusive ad backs and even Hall of Famers graded PSA 8. You won't want to miss the Tip Top Bread Honus Wagner, the E121 Babe Ruth, the Goodwin Champions John L. Sullivan in PSA 8 or the 1952 Topps Mantle. These are all collector dream cards!

As Memorial Day approaches, let's pause and remember those who gave their lives serving our great country.

We sincerely hope you have fun with the auction and good luck with your bids." - Bill

Not sure if anyone from Goodwin sees these posts, but it seems like the filters aren't working (or maybe I am just inept). Clicking pre-war, or even just baseball cards, doesn't show the T206 and some others, like the Holsum Ruth, that are for sale.

"The T206 enthusiast will discover printer's scraps, miscuts, blank backs, elusive ad backs"

Rare to see a solid front/back miscut up for sale. Added to the list.
