Sean, Richard Masson posted this in yesterday's thread:

If anyone would like to order a copy,
send $125 to
Richard Masson
1158 26th Street #537
Santa Monica, CA 90403

All I can say is it is well worth the money for this beautiful book.

Sean,

If you're wondering whether or not to buy the book, I'd just take a leap of faith and just buy it. This is a book that NOBODY ever thought would be written. I've only seen the scans of the pages that were posted in this bull board and from what I saw this is going to be one of those "have to have" books if you really enjoy baseball cardboard.

Thanks Steve. It seems to have made it to the mid-continent on Friday. I thought it would hit the coasts today but maybe I was overly optimistic.

If sent from Jefferson City, MO on Wednesday, the following areas should get their books on:

YELLOW Thursday
BROWN Friday (my area & I did)
GREEN Monday
CRIMSON Tuesday
ORANGE Wednesday

Looking at the map should get you close but if you're on the border line of an area, it could go either way. AND....those are under 'normal' circumstances without acts of God, etc.....okay, enough for the dislaimer...........

I just got my copy today, and fortuitously Mark Rucker is visiting at this very moment. We both got a chance to go through it. I thank Jay, Richard, and Joe for this wonderful accomplishment.

Got mine today in Virginia. The book is terrific. Just scanned it today and it will be a cover to cover. From the scan its the best book I've ever seen in this hobby and my library is fairly extensive. Thanks to the authors!

It is quite rewarding to see the recipients post with positive feedback.

Joe - If I obtain a duplicate of Lady Baldwin I will gladly trade it back to you for the items I sent your way in the original trade (Getzien w Detroit, SGC40 Thompson, and a little cash). I'm having trouble replacing that Getzien pose.

Best Regards,
Joe Gonsowski

Mine arrived yesterday as Tom's map showed. Pop didn't see it leaning up against the garage.

Forgot to mention that it was GREAT to see my OLD JUDGE box in the very beginning! Do you own that now Jay? Dan.

Joe G, I love trading, but it would seem weird trading the same cards back again. If you do find one, let me know about a sale though.

Great book.

What an incredibly, aesthetically beautiful book and an exhaustive study!

I'm glad the Old Judge collectors involved in helping with this book were willing to share the information and images with the rest of us.

I appreciate it and know that I'll learn a lot from it. You guys should be very proud of this work.

Rob

I'm watching the NY Times to see when "the book" makes it to the top of the list! In my opinion it's the best book that has come along in a while now. It is definitely thrill packed and riveting!

It's the best book ever written on a baseball card set, and nothing before it has even come close. Fortunately, the set is complex enough to warrant this exhaustive study. I don't believe it could ever be topped.

Kudos to Jay, Richard and Joe on an impressive book. Lew Lipset did groundbreaking work with his books, but the three of you have redefined the genre. Everyone from this point forward will use your Old Judge book as the standard for presenting their research--highly informative and an enjoyable reading experience. I'm continuing to dip into it this evening--couldn't wait to get home and resume reading.

Thank you,
Mike

PS--Hey Dan, do we share the same delivery guy? Mine was leaning against the garage, too, and I didn't discover it until I walked the dog last evening.
