Default Dazzy Vance Auto Ball??

I own a card shop, and am not a vintage autograph expert. This ball came in today. It has the original box and looks correct. I did make the purchase. What do you think? Is it real?

I have a pencil cut of Vance when he was playing with Brooklyn (presumably around the same time) and this one is nothing like it. The D in Dazzy looks like it was made by a 3rd grader. Even when he signed just D. Vance the D was much more flamboyant. Also, and it's hard to tell by the fuzzy picture, there is usually a break between the two Z's. That's just a couple of things that look wrong.

One thing is for certain...no one, not even a consignor to Coaches Corner would wreck that baseball with a fake Dazzy Vance auto...now did some kid back in the 20s pen that in?

The ball has considerable worth. If you are in it for less than the ball see it for the vintage ball

I wonder if that shop owner will ever see that guy again....

I'm curious how much the shop owner paid for it.
