Default 1960 Al Kaline Question

How many different print variations are there of his regular Topps card? I'm looking at the top left with the red lines that extend.

Thank you,

Jonesy

I did a study on 1960 cards a few years ago and haven't really updated anything in quite some time, but I have 16 different types catalogued. A couple may be redundant and based on the same anomaly with the colors being lighter or darker and therefore not exactly different. It's safe to say there are a minimum of 10 different. I will see if I can put a gif together.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Okay, here we go. Just stay focused on that upper left corner red area and see the differences, from very subtle to blatant, and with and without all different sorts of colored lines and different corner shapes, etc...

Thank you so much! I saw one on Ebay and it looked like those lines had maybe been tried to be erased. Nope, it is just a different variation.

Thanks again,

Brad

That's a really cool way you display such differences Darren, both on this and other cards.

Kaline and Banks both have a lot of variants in this set.
