Default 1910 Philadelphia A's Small Composite Photo - 6 1/2" x 3 1/4"

6 1/2" x 3 1/4"
I went to a paper show in San Francisco yesterday...I didn't see anything to stop me in my tracks but I did come upon an small composite type news wire photo of the 1910 Philadelphia A's, who won the WS that year (also 1911 and 1914) It's kind of small 6 1/2" x 3 1/4" , and from the back you can see it was in a scrap book. If anyone's interested,I got the dealers contact info, which he said was alright to give out on Net 54. I forgot to write down the price though..I think it was $300.00 Contact: Bart White, PH 510 485-3306, email: bartwhite@earthlink.net

So now I know what Bart does with all the photos he outbids me on from ebay. I didn't know he was a dealer, I just thought he was a collector who buys tons of photos.

Anywyas, just for educational purposes, that is not technically scrapbook residue on the back. When news service photos would be archived by specific newspapers and magazines they would have filing systems. The Culver archives would glue them down to manila paper stock and then title them and make them sturdier for use and a reuse. The glue on the back is from being glued down and filed by the Culver Archives and then removed from the mount.
