Default Conlon Collection Master Series

Had these put away since the 90's while picking them up new at the time. Figured I take some pics and post here for viewing. Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing. IMO, Conlon deserves far greater recognition for his incredible photography of early baseball.

Horner is the greatest portrait photographer, Conlon is far and away the best action photographer by a wide margin. Like Horner, every one of his photos capture emotion, just look at how many of his images are used for cards.

From what you posted:
Speaker Goudey
Wagner Pinkertons
Traynor Kashins
Hornsby Goudey
Cobb T227

The Ruth escapes me right now maybe a member can help but I've seen that image before.

And the actual images are way more beautiful than any of the cards.

Default Conlon

I hope everybody has my buddy Neal McCabe's two-volume coffee table set of Conlon photos, especially the first, "Baseball's Golden Age: The Photographs of Charles M. Conlon," which came out 30 years ago.
