Default 1927 Philadelphia Athletics Scorecard Question

Hi all, I've been chatting with a guy about acquiring a 1927 Philadelphia A's scorecard. 1927 of course was the year the A's had Cobb & Wheat among their 7 HOF players and the scorecard is for an April game vs the Senators with Tris Speaker playing his only year with them.

I'm still pretty new to the vintage sports scene so I have not been able to locate a comparable for a Shibe Park scorecard from 1927 to gauge what a fair value would be. The corners have some flaking issues but otherwise seems to be in displayable shape. Obviously value is relative to what I'm comfortable paying, just seeing if any board veterans have come across a general value ($50, $100, $200+ etc) for this team since I haven't seen one and I know Shibe Park scorecards from that era are a little harder to come by.

Thanks!

That's interesting because Cobb AND Speaker were only playing for the A's and Senators because that was their penalty for getting caught fixing a game many years earlier. The Tigers and Indians had to give them up. Do you have some photos of the program? Also, when I search for programs on eBay, I look up programs, scorecards, score cards, scorebooks and score books. That might help you find something comparable.

My guess would be 50-100 unless it was significant like Cobb's last game.

If they are playing the Yankees, then probably 100-150. Any other team 50-100.

Of course condition determines a lot as well. Poor and you could be at 30-50, great condition then you are back at the higher ends of my estimates.

Re-reading your post as I thought you were asking about 1927 Athletics programs in general, but for your specific one I think its about $50-$70.

Also, more tend to prefer scored as opposed to blank, a few the other way, but a scored one seems to add a few bucks. But regardless still thinking the one you mention has a value of about $50-$70.
