On this day: Rube Waddell signed by Athletics and smuggled out of CA by Connie Mack
Rube Waddell is a remarkable figure with a history of antics that makes him truly unique in the history of deadball baseball. The sorry about his break into Mack's Athletics appropriately fits into his biography. See article below.
