Show your cards of the Old Judge counterparts to the N162 BB players
I'll first start this game with my Old Judge and Goodwin cards of Glasscock.
.......................Tim Keefe..........................Bob Caruthers.......................Dan Brouthers ...........................................Fred Dunlap...........................Ed Andrews Hey guys....why isn't "Parisian Bob" Caruthers in the HOF ? W-L record = 218-97....an ERA = 2.83....and two 40-win seasons. Furthermore, besides Babe Ruth, Caruthers is considered way up there as one of the greatest pitcher--players in the history of Major League ball.......BA = .282 TED Z Last edited by tedzan; 10-22-2010 at 03:09 PM. |

Great looking Brouthers. Looks like Geo. Harris Litho. created the N162 from the same picture. Thanks for posting your card. TED Z |

I've always thought Bob Caruthers should be in the Hall of Fame.

Thanks for posting that really great scan of Jim McLaughlin, including his N162 card. He was one of America's greatest jockey's and is in the Jockey Hall of Fame. Now, since you have expanded the subjects in this thread, here's the 5 pugilists in the Goodwin Champions album. I've seen this pose of John L. Sullivan in some form of an OJ card. Let's see if the other 4 are pictured. TED Z Last edited by tedzan; 10-28-2010 at 06:59 PM. |
