Default 53 yankees silver platter

guys, i have a chance to buy the silver platter with the yankee logo from 53 in the middle, also 49,50,51, and 52 engraved also, and all the sigs. engraved. the guy wants 850.00. good price or not. also weren't these just for players and team office personnel. thanks

To me it depends on the condition. I have seen some with major dings. Also because it was made of high grade silver, it tarnishes easily. Some specimens have significant scratches caused by using abrasive cleaners. If the specimen is free of defects, I think the price is fine.

is it all silver or plated. also it is in very good cond.

Default I bought mine last year...

for $550.00 and I would have paid a thousand if I had to. Solid silver and in sparkling condition. Yes it was given to players, coaches, and front office staff. Also tarnishes very fast. Mine is now stored in an airtight container.

BTW... DiMaggio had one as well. It was lot #574 in the DiMaggio/Hunt Auction with an estimate of $500-1000. Price realized... $3910.00
