Default Arky Vaughan

Does this Vaughan look fine? Picked up this baseball over the weekend. Not sure if there were any Vaughan clubhouse autos back then.

That is not Arky Vaughn's signature.
I took a good look at Vaughn and a cursory look at others and I think the ball is loaded with clubhouse sigs.

I think after 10 years in the major leagues, Vaughan would surely remember to include the A in his last name. Just sayin'. Jason

Default Vaughan

This is an early Vaughan signature on a ball. Jason

So is it worth anything? Or just throw it away?

Its a clubhouse Vaughan as Richard and others mentioned.

But as a side note and for future reference I and others communicated with the Vaughan family in the 1980's , noting inconsistences in his signatures that had been obtained through the mail. Even sending them examples to look at

They confirmed what myself and others had suspected and that was his wife signed a great deal of his autograph requests through the mail. But he DID reply to requests himself. So even back then had to wrote to Arky Vaughan you had about a 50% chance of getting one signed by him and not his wife through the mail.

Maybe it's just me, but I thought a lot of the sigs on that ball look like they are from the same hand...particularly on the side Vaughan signed.
