lol, it's true, but I'm guessing they're in the background of all 100,000,000 of them so not sure why the price.

9 Sold in one hour. 103 Sold total.

I'm guessing these are being bought up by weirdo Menendez Brothers groupies and not actual card collectors.

Default Thoughts..error?

It may be an error card. I see one of Mark Jackson's feet seems to be off the ground...I don't remember seeing that during his playing days.

Actually really impressed with the marketing savvy of turning a 3 cent card into 25 bucks by just pointing out the background.

Have a feeling that it will get copied and undercut quickly though until it becomes nothing but a good idea he once had.

Getting a solid run out of it.

84 sold. It makes no sense, even if you wanted one, why not just buy it elsewhere? Or are they up across the board? Do people think it's an error card or something? WTF.

Gotta admit, I checked quickly in the attic and found 3 of them, listed them on eBay for $10 each and they each sold within 15 minutes. I don't have any interest in saving them because they picture killers on the card, and there are millions out there, so I'm happy to pocket $30 for some penny commons.

Damn, I just realized I did a purge of my early 90's Hoops commons a couple moves ago and probably threw away a couple of dozen of these.

Oh well.

How many Lakers cards are there, that have some celebrity (like maybe Jack Nicholson) sitting courtside, and no one gives a flying f$%& about it?

Personally, I'd rather have one of them.

+1 Kind of like '52 Topps legend has it.
Also, I guess I don't have a problem with AN off topic thread like this, especially from good contributors, on the front page as it sparks some interesting conversation. And that said the other thread that Howard (hi Howard) started has been locked. He is correct in that the subject matter is interesting. Not sure where I stand on it right now but never like to see murderer's get too much fame. What a weird story they (the brothers) are!!

At least they're not profiting from it.

This was on Facebook about a week ago. Made me laugh but I am not going through my 90 hoops commons to find this unless, it still has value months from now, then maybe but I don’t see it holding value at all.

Just wait till the graded ones start showing up, I have no doubt people will pay real $$$ for this stupid card in a holder.

So eBay has removed the listings of the Mark Jackson Hoops card. I assume it will be removing all Aaron Hernández items as well? OJ’s too perhaps?

There's no shortage of Pol Pot, Stalin, Manson, or Hugo Chavez items. I think they murdered just a few more people in their time.
