Default Best to have a bat signed...

Going to see All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (The real field of Dreams players) this weekend. I want to get a bat signed, wondering what would be the best for longevity to get it signed with. Will Sharpie fade?...should I use a gel pen?...open to thoughts and ideas.

As long as it's not a dark colored bat, I'd use a black sharpie

Blue or black sharpie on a light colored bat, and a silver or gold sharpie on a dark bat.

I would agree with Mike on this 100%.
Blue would be the color I would prefer personally on a light colored bat.

I seem to recall folks saying black Sharpie on a bat is more prone to fading than is blue Sharpie.
