Anybody ever see one of these before? Just picked it up. Anyone from or near Galena or been there? I know its a bit of a tourist destination because of its history and old homes/architecture.


On/near the Mississippi River, Illinois-Iowa border, I think fairly close to the where the American Pickers (Frank & Mike) are from, Le Claire Iowa.

I've been to Galena and will attest it's a neat town. I wouldn't plan a weeklong vacation there, but an interesting place to stop by.

The Chicago Bears used to do training camp right down the road @ U.W. Platteville. But Galena is a short drive to the Field Of Dreams movie site and the Ertel Farm Toy Museum. Both are worthwhile stops. Then there is the Apple River Valley State Park. Put and take trout fishing in the scenic Apple River.....Hey Scott... check it out !!!
