Default Funny Sadaharu Oh signature

I don't know if many of you know Sadaharu Oh's signature (I'm pretty familiar his signature) and I just thought this one was really bad/funny. And I'm not just talking about the English signature...the one in Japanese/Chinese characters is just awful here:

May be "Siddhartha Om", probably signed by Sidd Finch.

Speaking of Oh, I just saw this listed on Heritage Auctions' site. I'm disappointed to see them list this as I thought they were getting better at screening out the bad ones. I'm not sure about the Aaron, but this Sadaharu Oh is really bad. Oh is fairly consistent when signing balls and this isn't really that close.

Default Oh

I agree. I always got me Oh's from reputable people like Robert Klevins at Prestige collectibles as I semi seriously collect Japanaese HOFers along with US ones

How about this Oh signature ? I've had this ball since the mid-1980s.

Hey Roy,
I think the kanji (Japanese/Chinese characters) signature of Oh on your ball looks good. The English version also looks legit, but I always felt his English signature was easy to forge so I'm never confident in judging that.

I just saw this thread. Roy, your Oh signature is fine. That index card is horrible though.

since this thread has life I had picked up an Oh/Aaron ball recently but after I bought it I don't think it is legit. Maybe one day I will send it to one of the big authenticators just to see if my gut is right about it being bad.

I am much better at judging the Oh signatures in Japanese, but that one does not look too good to me.

I wonder why Oh signs in English. It would never cross my mind to ask a player to sign his name in any other than his native language.

Most of his signatures were only done in Japanese, but he would often sign his name in English when asked, especially for Americans.
