Default April Pickups

For once I would enjoy starting the thread for April 2016.

This is an autographed Derek Jeter "1993 Topps" card that was a Scoreboard production. I've been looking for one of these for a long time.

Below is an Mickey Mantle autographed book (I can't believe the deal I got on this).

Default Vincent Richards

I picked up all three of these 8x10's for about 1/2 to 1/3 of what I would expect to pay for a single one and about the same price I paid for a clip from a Waterman's Album. Vincent Richards won gold medals in men's singles and doubles and a silver medal in mixed doubles at the 1924 Olympics in Paris. He would also win at the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. The middle photo is on double weight paper.

Love this Red Grange 1925 Illini Baseball Type 1. Especially like the Matty blurb on the back about getting him to Boston

Added another D381 player signature. The D381 is not signed. Signature in on a GPC. W.G. Dell. William (Wieser) Dell. Usually listed and referred to as "Wheezer". Does anyone know why he's always listed and called Wheezer when he wrote it as "Wieser"?

I loved the Dodgers 1916 inscription for the D381 tie in.

Not as nice as Chris's, but I was able to pick this up. Looked good to me, and I've wanted an early Jeter signature on a Topps rookie.

Mike Lieberthal signed mask. Not prewar. Doesn't fit my Jackie Robinson focus, but makes the Dodgers threshhold barely. Plus we were high school rivals on the diamond. Got it in my school's auction.

Sure as hell ain't a Babe Ruth letter, but it completes my mini-set of pitchers who delivered first/last hit and first/last pitch to Jackie. Just about the most affordable Jackie themed idea to complete. Keeping a look out for an Elliott signed ball, but ic will do for now. Hopefully will be able to connect with original photos from those games as availability and funds allow.
