Default March Pick Ups

I got to meet Chloe Kim at an event a few nights ago. What an awesome athlete and great performance in the Olympics.

Disappointing that her hair is normal color. You never know what color it will be when she is in competition.

Picked this up on the BST from Tony. Received it today. Ralph Branca signed baseball to Al Barlick.

Small upgrade from Jim's list, some ebay letters and local pickup from long-time Detroit Tigers Executive.

Not exactly a new pickup, but I moved into a new house a few months ago, so I have decided to freshen up a few of my items with new matted/frames... here is one of my first.

Packs, careful on that Williams. It looks a lot in shape to his facsimile signature that was used around that time. I have two examples from the early 1950's that are facsimiles that I can post later today to see if it's a match, but I think it is (hard to tell for certain because it's on the lighter side, but my gut says it is).

In what sense? That the signature is included in the image or that the signature is not that of Williams?

That it's printed onto the image (or stamped), manufactured facsimile signature. I'll post the ones I have later and you can compare, it's probably easiest since you can see your in hand, I'll try to get good scans of mine.

edit: Found an old photo I had saved of a couple, hope this helps. The postcard is a JD McCarthy from the sames series as your I believe. Note that the tail end of the signature looks cut off on the one you have.

Does that one have a postmark too? I wonder if it's contemporary to 1951. The postcard I bought only cost me $45 so I'm not too worried. I don't actually have it in hand though so I won't know for another week when I go up to get it.

Yes, the JD McCarthy postcard I have that I posted above is also postmarked similar to yours, it's September 15, 1951.

Interesting. I'll have to see but you're probably right. So strange they would fade the signature too. I thought that was a tell that it was signed.
