Default 1975 topps Mini's set help

I'm looking to complete one of my mid-high grade sets. Need about 100 cards, mostly high-pop commons. Is there a place to go (besides comc) to get all at one time. Looking for about NM +/- condition.

John-- I have a set but no extras. Do you post on CU ? In the registry forum there is a longstanding thread on this set and several collectors who post there. They may have some or know good places to look.

Hi John,

I'm one of the Mini collectors who posts in the thread Al mentioned. I've built a couple of ungraded sets and one registry set, and I have submitted hundreds to PSA to be graded. Over the last two years or so, it's been getting more and more difficult to find them in NM and higher grades. Card shows are the best place to find them in bulk, but aside from there, I have most consistently found them in the stated condition online at Mickey's Cards. If you Google that name, you'll find it easily. In my experience, the owner has been spot on with the advertised card condition. Of course, there is always eBay, but that's a crapshoot as you've probably found.

When I started collecting the set in 2008, it was relatively easy to find them in NM or better condition for anywhere from $0.35 to $0.75 apiece for commons. Good luck finding them that cheaply now. Expect to pay $1.00 to $2.00 for NM or better commons either at shows or online. There are exceptions, of course, and if you find such exceptions, PLMK.

I hope this helps you out. As Al recommended, you could also post on the Mini thread in the PSA registry forum at PSA's web site to see if the guys there have any ungraded for sale. Many of them open packs and might be willing to sell you minty-looking ones that they found not worthy of grading. If I had any ungraded for sale, I would offer you some, but I sold off most of my ungraded earlier this year.

I wish you good luck building the set. I've spent many enjoyable hours building them myself.

Nick

If you are still looking for assistance in finding this lot of 100, let me know. I purchased a large lot of 5 wax boxes (BCCE approved) from PWCC last year. All the cards are uncirculated, w/sharp corners, and shiny gloss. Condition variations are the usual suspects; centering, and print spots. Anyone else trying to finish a set, I have duplicate raw cards of most every card in the set, including all the major stars except Brett. PM me with requested cards and offer, and I can send scans of what I have. Been overseas, and am now finally able to sell some.
