Default 1961 Fleer Detroit Tiger uniform question

Does anyone know if or when the Detroit tigers wore Red hats with red lettering on their uniforms in the 1920s & 1930s. If not, then why did Fleer depict these high profile players in that color of uniform? Does anyone have a photo of a player in the red uniform?

That red color is/was probably supposed to be orange. Could be a printing error or fading. Just a guess though...

What's red on the cards should be blue.
